“The Lowcountry of South Carolina is exceptionally proud to have Sarah performing here. We are even more grateful that she has decided to support the efforts of our mayors by helping to raise dollars for the Hurricane Relief Fund. Every dollar, every prayer counts, and we are so thankful for her generosity.” – Darrin Goss, Sr., President and CEO of Coastal Community Foundation of South Carolina.
The tickets will be sold on a first-come, first served, cash only basis only at the North Charleston Coliseum Advance Ticket Office. The North Charleston Coliseum Ticket Office hours are Monday – Saturday 10 AM – 5PM. The Performing Arts Center Box Office will also be open this Sunday September 23 from Noon – 8 PM.
Sarah McLachlan is one of the most celebrated singer-songwriters in entertainment with over 40 million albums sold worldwide. She is an eight-time Juno Award winner (Canada) and a three-time Grammy Award winner. McLachlan's landmark fifth album, the 10x-platinum SURFACING, contained two Grammy Award-winning tracks: "Building a Mystery" and "Last Dance.” In addition to her personal artistic efforts, she founded the Lilith Fair tour showcasing female musicians which raised over $7 million for local and national charities over its 3 years and in 2002 founded her non-profit organization the Sarah McLachlan School of Music. The school provides free afterschool music education for at-risk and underserved kids who otherwise would have no access to music programming. From an early age, music provided Sarah with the tools she needed to navigate the challenges she faced in her life so she recognizes how important it is for every child to have those same opportunities.
