Guest policies for the North Charleston Coliseum and Performing Arts Center (the Facilities):

Admission Policy

Each guest (including children two years and older) entering the Facilities for any type of ticketed event must have a ticket or the proper event credentials. Guests who experience a problem with their tickets (i.e. lost or stolen tickets, etc.) should go to the Main Ticket Office. Guests entering the Facilities for an event must enter through the lobbies, where a visual inspection may be conducted. Media personnel must enter through a designated press entrance. Loitering in the lobbies is prohibited. Only persons with the intent to attend the event or buy tickets to an event may stand in the lobby.

Cameras and Recording Devices

The permitted use of cameras or recording devices varies by event. The permission of video cameras or still cameras is at the discretion of the show. Still cameras are sometimes allowed, while video cameras are almost never allowed. Cameras with professional lenses and flash attached are always prohibited. Signs will be posted and staff will be notified regarding the policy for each event.

Carry In Items

The following items are not permitted in the Facilities:

  • Weapons of any kind (knives, guns, clubs, or any other item that may be used as a weapon)
  • Bottles and cans
  • Coolers
  • Illegal drugs or alcohol
  • Noise makers
  • Laser lights

Scalping

Ticket resale or attempted resale at a price more than one dollar ($1.00) above the price appearing on the face of the ticket on the Facilities property is a violation of South Carolina state law.

Lost And Found

Please visit Guest Services, located in section 130, to inquire about any lost or stolen items. If you notice you have misplaced or lost an item after an event, please call the administrative offices, M-F, 8:30am-5pm at (843)529-5000.

Smoking

The Facilities are smoke-free. Smoking is not allowed inside the Facilities by any patron or employee. There are designated smoking areas outside the Facilities.

Disorderly Conduct

Patrons who fail to abide by the Facilities policies, state and federal law are subject to ejection from the Facilities.

Seating/Wheelchairs

Everyone must sit/stand in the location that matches the seat, section,row and number that is on their ticket. Only one person is allowed to occupy a chair at a time, except for children under the age of two. Standing on chairs, sitting on seat backs, standing in the aisles, accessible platforms, vomitories or other restricted areas while an event is in progress is prohibited. A limited number of wheelchairs are available at the Facilities on a first-come, first-served basis.

Wristbands

Only guests 21 years of age or older may purchase alcoholic beverages in the Facilities. These people must show proper identification and get their wrists banded prior to purchasing alcoholic beverages.

Illegal Vending

Guests may not sell any type of food, candy, beverages, tobacco products, souvenirs, toys, or programs in or on the Facilities property. Only concessionaires contracted by or through Volume Services America may sell food in and on the Facilities property. Guests will not vend, solicit and/or collect contributions for any purpose whatsoever or distribute any handbills on the premises.

Event Interference

Guests may not bring into the Facilities any item that may be used to interfere or disrupt the event (i.e. noise makers, obscene or offensive signs, laser lights, etc.).

Food And Beverage

Patrons may not bring any outside food and/or beverages into the Facilities.

Exercising Your Right to Free Speech
